creating fantasy images from photographs

does anyone know of any good tutorials that will help me on the way to making some cool fantasy images? going for Faeries, Pixies and Goblins that sort of thing, thanks - Fi xx

there is no 'extract' setting in CS4 :( anyone come accross this?
 
nah doesnt work, i downloaded and extracted an extract tool but its just not showing up in Photoshop... i am well confused and slighly wishing i had just stuck with CS3, CS4 is more beautiful but if it cant offer me the same stuff why have i bothered :(
 
it just takes me to the same adobe page i have been on a million times, i have downloaded the plug-ins, i can see them on my computer but they are nowhere to be seen on CS4, i have even tried draggin and dropping them INTO photoshop and its still not working :(
 
look in your filter menu, the link takes you to russell browns site not adobe

Have you installed them or put them in cs4 plugin folder somewhere, oh I have you restarted cs4 after you installed them
 
yeah if you go through it, it takes you straight back to Adobe...
 
okay i figured it out, it automatically put the plugins in a different folder i had to move them into the filter folder in the program files to sort it out :) thanks dave x x
 
Why they took extract out is beyond me, I know you can put it back in but what have they saved by removing it?
 
i think they did it just to annoy us :( its very silly it must be used by SO many people coz its great :) These tutorials are really good, i cant wait to get some pixie magic going on!
