My wife is just finishing drawing illustrations for her first ebook. My question to any of you that have ever published ebooks is how do you go about your illustrations? She draws using pencil and then colours everything in with crayons.
My plan is to later scan it and convert to pdfs which is the required format.
EDIT: turns out now that it is Jpeg that is required.
My questions:
1. Do you use any specialists software to create illustrations or do you , like my wife, draw with pen/pencil and then scan it?
2. Will any scanner do the job or do I need some super duper scanning machine?
3. If you have ever published an ebook what sort of mistakes have you made from which she could learn
