Creating a website?

Hi,

I'd like to create a website to upload my photography and films. I know you need a domain and a server to create a website but that's about all I know. I know you need to use wordpress, but I'm not sure what for. What's the cheapest cost? And any help on creating one would be appreciated.

You don't have to use Wordpress, there are lots of other options out there. I'm no expert on what those options are but I know there are options.

Personally I use Photium which offer templates that can be customised to give the kind of look you are after. If you are happy to have no more than 500 photos on your site then it's just £7.50 a month. Have a look at www.BlackBullPhotography.com and you'll see how I have my site but that's just 1 example of what a Photium site can look like.

Obviously the option to design and build your own site from scratch is there but by the sounds of it you don't have the knowledge so if you want a good looking site then I'd stick with a template for now.

You do not need to use Wordpress, it is great for blogging, but not the only option.
