Creating a Viginette??

Can someone give me a pointer on how to add viginette (hope that's spelt correctly) to an image. Darker around the edges.

I have photoshop cs.

Here is how I would do it.

Use the lasso too, set feather to taste, draw a boarder around the image, once thats done and you have the selection go to the select menu and choose invert then add a curves layer, play with the Input (black) settings.

Go to filter - distort - lens correction and play with the vignette slider. I think that will work with CS

You will need to flatten the layer after if your working in jpeg, lens correction unlocks the background layer.
