Hi,

My friends have asked me to do a montage, exactly the same as they had done a few years ago by another tog.

I'm trying to create a template in Photoshop, I've been trying for hours and I've I can't seem to get anywhere!

Can anyone explain what the easiest way would be to create a template?
The way I've been doing it is by using rulers and dragging them on the background as a starter, but getting nowhere.

The montage is shown below.
And I've also attached a larger version that shows a few measurements in a ZIP Here

I've measured it up, it might not be 100% accurate but it's near enough.
The viewable area of the print is 22"x18".
Each little vertical photo is 1.5"x2.2", or if it's horizontal then its 2.2"x1.5".

There is also a small grey border around each little photo, I'm not sure the quickest way to draw the grey border either.

If anyone can give any guidance, would be appreciated.

Or even better if there's a program out there that does it all for you.

or a great piece of software called fotofusion, that does the job quite well

Thanks for the replies.

I'll give that software a go.
And also the Script Writer.

FotoFusion did the job!
Nice software, shame its only for Windows.
But you can however export to PSD and use it in Photoshop on Mac and use masking.

Thanks again
