Creating a real 'processed' look...

It's had me wracking my brain for a while on how this is achieved?

I'd be more than interested to do some reading if someone can help putting a name to the process.

I'd say that 'Punch' was used in Lightroom. :shrug:

Looks good. I'm rubbish at all this digital stuff, but for starters, obviously added some vignette, then a play with the clarity slider. Anything more than that is beyond me

You can get a similar effect with photoshop by using HDR, but I am pretty sure tommyf is a member here...

Dodgeing and burning, some midtone contrast and then some wierd soft sharpening to bring out the hairs (which I dont like).

It has, but I'm guessing it went from Lightroom for the initial settings then into photoshop for the final tweaks.

Interesting on reading the meta data on Flickr - I didn't know about that.
