Cr2 files on win 10 pc

Hi,
Recently bought a Canon G7x mk2 and have discovered that my photo app on the pc cannot open the raw files from this camera, neither can my photoshop elements 13 !
Weirdly enough though both programmes can open the raw files from my Canon 7d ! Went on the Adobe website and it says the G7x 2 is supported
The Canon imaging software however can open them!
Anyone know the answer to this?

windows 10 raw codec pack does not seem to include the g7.

is there a raw update for elements?

MS (Windows 10) do not seem interested in updating their raw codec pack......................I think the last one a few years back

You need ACR 9.6, the first version of PSE which supports that is 15

Best bet is Adobe DNG converter, then you can open them with your version of PSE
