Been looking for a course for ages now. I have been mucked around by one college as I was no 15 on waiting list and then they say they are doing a 2nd class, but won't say if I will be on it, I have asked and asked for them to let me know as I don't want to leave it too late to register elsewhere.
Every other college is jam packed even the city and guilds courses.
I have found one college but I am not sure if the course is what I want?

I was looking at the open university course but it is an extra £77 for the same 10 weeks?
I have found a course with 3 places available which is at a not very well known college but after googling the tutor she is very very well qualified and her pics look vey good. But being new to photography is it wise to start at the C&G level 2? As this is all she offers, she doesn't do a level 1?

well i have just enrolled on a level 2, which looks very good

i am doing studio photography

I did the level one course last year and found it very basic, really only one step up from "this is a camera, you look through the view finder and point the lens at what you want to take a picture of).

While I was doing level 1 my Dad was doing level 2 and certainly for the first few weeks they were doing the same as us (he stole my homework a few times too), shutter speed/apeture/ISO etc, if you have a basic understanding of exposure and rule of thirds (or can google them etc) you will be fine on level 2.

hmmmm :nono:

hahahaha :)

Hi Nicola. I've just signed up for the Level 2. Contact the college and ask if you can speak to the tutor. He / she should be able to work out if you are good enough.

There was a similar thread on here a few weeks back.

i did the level 2 last year (still waiting for my grade), I think most colleges have taken all their enrollments now but if you have any questions, i'll be happy to help.
