The camera in my sig line is going back to Canon for a repair.

Knowing that a lot of you folks have had stuff back and forth to Canon, what's the best way to send it. obviously I want quite a trustworthy insurance on the delivery.

Any help appreciated.

I i ever have to send anything I use Royal mail special delivery, convenient and well insured, I have had one thing go missing though.

I use special delivery, can't beat it for convenience, up to 2kg with £500 insurance delivered by 1pm next day or your money back £8.25

Yup, RMSD, I sent my (brand bloody new) Sigma 50-500 back for repair a month ago to the day, it's pretty heavy so cost just under £20 with £500 insurance. Just make sure you pack your camera properly.

Yup, I used RMSD too. Cost me £9.30 to send my 5D back to Canon at Elstree insured to £2500.

Mind i'm going to need insurance up to £6000 though, I had thought about RMSD, but reckoned the maximum cover it will give is £2500 as you guys have mentioned.

Any other ideas?

Cheers

TNT are the best. Specify the insurance you require when asking for a price.

Cheers.

Send more than 1 package ?
I found RMSD fine sending lenses to sigma.

Well the going price for that camera is £4700ish which is way above the limit on RMSD so I guess Fracsters idea is best.
