Yes
Back in the seventies, it was a case of take the film in and go back and collect the prints and negatives.
Now its on line,
So correct me if I am wrong.
I send the film in.
Then I can get scans sent to my e mail.
Next I can look at them and decide which ones I want printed.
Make the decision and pay for that.

So I can have the scans in Jpeg ?
I can have the prints sent to me ?
Or both ?
Even get the prints corrected for a better result ?
Get them enlarged for framing ?
Do I get the negatives back ?

Or do you just get scans and get them printed your self ?

I am looking at analog wonderland and trying to understand what it is I am doing.
Not that I have any film to send them at the moment but perhaps by next week I might.

Any help would be of a great help to me, thank you in advance.

Thank you, just been looking at what I have here in the NE of Scotland, which would appear to be not a lot.
Mostly Asda and Tesco, and they are kiosks, the closest dev place is in Glasgow, over 100 miles away.
So I know I can get prints made on quality paper a 10 minuet drive from my house, so that is great, but development she cant do.
Looks to me I should order TIFF and edit them, put them on a stick and ask her to print them if I want to have an actual photograph for the house.

Exactly tht IMO. It would be nice to have confirmation from those more experienced recently with film than me - it's 6 or 7 years since I last had a film done.

You could look at my nifty dev/scan comparison to give you an idea of costs on different sites: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...dit?pli=1&pli=1&gid=1219011558#gid=1219011558

That hasn't been updated for nearly 2 years, but it's probably still a reasonable guide for comparison. Just check before ordering!

Once you get to post your film way, it doesn't really matter where the lab is. But please, after bitter experience, please use one of the tracked postal services, only a few pence more than second class postage.

Several of those labs also offer print services, in fact some are really print shops that also do film development. Many people here use Filmdev, which you'll see is very competitively priced; however they don't offer much of a print service IIRC. However, you'll likely want to do some work on your images after scanning, and then only send a few to print, so it doesn't need to be the same place.

Gppd luck!

What about analog wonderland, are any of you aware of them and if so are they worth sending my film to.
