Now have the new desktop machine up and running. Thinking that it could do with a card reader in the machine, rather than the one used from the laptop dangling off the USB port. So first question is, what do people recommend for internal card readers?
Also in the machine at present is a 480GB SSD as main OS drive, a 500GB HHD for old photo files, a 120GB SSD which I am thinking of using for music etc. and to go in is a 240GB SSD. I was thinking of using the 120GB SSD as a scratch disk but think this may not be needed when I take the RAM to 32GB. So second question is does this seem sensible not to have a scratch disk, as I would like to have some sort of back up for light room and all the photos (both from the HDD and the OS SSD)?
