Well I've decided to scrap the idea of one day at silverstone am now going to have a 14 hour round trip up to oulton park for the whole weekend of superbikes instead.
As this is my first time and Where would you recommend to take pictures, I've downloaded Matt sayles guide which is helpful but I know it's a couple of years old and I think I've read there's a couple of parts that have changed off the circuit/viewing angles.
I've got a 100-400 and a 70-200 f4 so hopefully that will be enough to get me some good pictures.
Last question is by looks of the map its quite a big circuit well compared to Brands and Lydden it is and am wondering how easy is it to get around, is it possible to walk around or do most of you drive round to the different places.

Many thanks

Dex

Superbikes will be busy and so just park your car and walk. Its a nice circuit with plenty of angles, and Matt Sayle's guide will be fine - a few things have changed - but some for the better.

For BSB get there as early as you can. It gets very busy. Qualifying day is a lot quieter so explore then.

It is not really possible to drive around the circuit. Not too far to walk - a lot less than Silverstone.

Good spots include Druids (good for panning) and Hislops Chicaine as well as Deers Leap. There is now a bridge there which makes it easier to get to the outfield.

Have a read through this thread and links. The guide needs updating like the bridge at deers leap now means more of the circuit is open on track days, but you will get a idea of the shots available.
