John Craven reveals the 12 finalist photographs tonight (it's on now).
Anyone on the forum entered?

Just watched it, absolutely love the feeding frenzy shot

I quite liked the pier shot , duck chasing BOP . I dont think I could look at the lavender field for a whole month but thats my opinion ....not after seeing the lavender shot on here (nothing can compare)

I thought some of them were quite disappointing :shake: after looking at the photos that are posted on this forum !

Well we'll just have to wait and see who wins ..........

Some cracking pictures but wow, that Swan Lake picture does it for me. Beautiful!

Maybe it was just me but seen many many more images with the wow factor on TP's forums, if I was to pick a winner though it would be the sheep on the hill with the stone wall running through with a close 2nd being the duck kicking off.

I agree, Martyn.

Dave

My faves are the feeding frenzy, the pier and the sheep trail.
Good to see that someone here actually enterd.

I feel the overall winner was a just deserve, looking at his equiptment it seemed he was an amature photographer with a passion which proves it is open to all. Though there were some good photos within the final 12.

Watching Chris Packham with his pro gear and Jo Brand with her compact camera, both taking photos of the day, Chris Packham admitted to Jo Brand he had taken 500 shots, surely for a so call pro this is crazy, was he just relying on luck ?.
I usally take around 3 - 4 shots of a subject then move on to another, all in all taking home around 100- 120 shots a day, am i abnorm ?

I very rarely shoot more than 100 during a day, and also shoot maybe half a dozen of one subject (unless it is close up work, and then I do more).
I agree, the winner desrved it IMO, although everyone has different taste, so it is always going to be subjective.
