Could not even take a photo of my own arm...

Our vaccine centres, and testing centres as well, all have big sign as you arrive saying no filming or photography allowed on site. I do some w ork at vaccine centres, and I've never seen anyone obviously try to take photos and I've never seen any on social media. In fact thinking about it, mobile phone usage is much lower than you would normally see, even when people are sitting waiting after their vaccine. Any photos I've seen have been arranged media ones.

I've no idea why the policy is as it is, but there may be concern about misuse of photos by people trying to undermine the vaccine programme. An example I can think of is that woman who was taking photos of empty clinics / hospital corridors and posting that as 'proof' that hospitals were not struggling with numbers of admissions from Coronavirus.

That unfortunately has always been the way, anyone can get a photo to say what they want, and not always in a good light.

I would object strongly if I saw anyone using a camera when I was getting my vaccine
Medical records are supposed to be private and I am glad that they are being kept that way
regardless of whether you thought no one else would be in the picture
I was at a doctors surgery, in a private consulting room and would not have considered trying to
get a picture, really can't understand why you are so upset about it

No intention of taking a photo of patients getting their Vaccine done, I wanted one of my arm while I was behind a curtain away from others. ;)

I think I have mentioned this before, on this forum...

Years ago maybe 1970s or there abouts, when there was a high car crime rate in Liverpool. Me and my brother where in a car scrapyard, ( legally) getting parts for our car. A photographer asked if he could take a photo of us, as it was for part of a story he was covering for a local paper. I remember him positioning us so the Anglican Cathedral was in the background, obviously to emphasise it was Liverpool.

It was only afterward when my brother and I got talking, we realised we would more than likely of been portrayed negatively.
Such as the headline possibly, youths stealing cars etc.

5 or so years ago I had a biopsy on my left leg. The female Surgeon asked if I wanted the wifi password for the private hospital where I was having it done so that I could live stream it on Facebook or make a recording Of the procedure for YouTube. She didn’t care as long as her face and that of the nurses wasn’t shown on the recording And she offered to do a live commentary if I wanted!

Obviously a very sensible person, a lot of us seem to be scared of having our photo taken.

Reminds me of the headline of a satirical magazine:
Forgotten selfie: Influencer needs third vaccination appointment

I don't want to say it's the same 'problem', but it came to mind.
;)

Really? Can't see how as I don't have a YouTube channel, and I don't have any followers. I wanted a photo, to show the grandchildren.
Your post makes no sense.

PS

It is also not a problem. That too, makes no sense.

Someone I knew undertook a 24 hour dart playing marathon to raise money for a kids home.
Local paper got their captions wrong and his picture was displayed with the title "sex fiend hunted"
That photo and caption appeared in nearly every local pub on the dart chalk board or nearby.

Paper was useless, its most common mistake was transposing the word god to dog.
Local footballer was a born again Christian who found dog apparently.
(didn't do him any good, 17 games after his move to a premier club he suffered a career ending injury)

If that's the local rag that used to be known as the C**************** Evening News they used to be a favourite along with the Gruadian on That's Life as Cyril Fletcher who did the 'amusing misspellings' was a local....

No, that was the Leyton and Stratford Guardian.

I have heard tell that the one you mentioned is pretty useless, only ever seemed interested in the Busway or A14 when I read it.

I'm sorry, but my post was only indirectly related to yours. Vaccination and photography were the connecting keywords.

As I wrote, it was the invented headline of a satirical magazine. Of course you have to have a connection to satire and humour, otherwise my posting really seems pointless. ;)

But I can well imagine that the grandchildren would not be reassured when they see the needle penetrating the skin. :$

Our local rag used to be known as the Excessive Error - and that was by the staff.
