Yes
The grandchildren are in our bubble, and we had them over yesterday afternoon.
While they are still young and full of life, I love getting photos of their inter actions with the missus, while playing in the garden.

It was a lovely bright sunny day, so I whipped the compact camera out of my pocket and snapped away. Trouble was, I could not see the screen on my G7X, so I could not compose, or see an image. I know I could have used my DSLR for the viewfinder option, but the bulk puts me off.

I know I said I would not get another camera, but there certainly is room for a compact camera, that does have a viewfinder.

So, if I see one going for dirt cheap.

Or one of those accessories that shade the rear LCD so that you can see it in sunny conditions ;)

PS I don't one of those I have no idea how well they perform in use.......................though I don't recall reading of them being dissed as useless???

I did think of that, but compact becomes no longer pocketable.

I am keeping my eyes open, for a small pocketable camera, with a useable viewfinder.

PS

Dirt cheap.

The rx100iii has a view finder but even used may not be cheap as they go for over £200.

Might look at the as an option... (y)

PS

Maybe when I bought the XF10 new a month or so ago, I should have taken no viewfinder into account, more seriously.
I have always had a gripe, with cameras without a viewfinder.

I have a Panasonic TZ100 which is a 1" sensor compact with a 25-250mm lens. The TZxx range usually have them, the TZ70 is currently hovering around the £200 mark new.

I am currently looking on used camera websites, soon as I see one I like, I will buy it.
