Yes
Ordered a laptop last week which should be delivered in 5 working days according to the email, that's today then. Contacted DHL to find out if it would defo be today and if they could specify AM or PM. Hours later I got a reply saying there was no tracking information and that the supplier may not have despatched the goods. That's funny because when I stick the number into the website it says something not nothing. Thought I'd give dixons a call to see if they had defnately despatched the goods and all I get is an answer machine loop saying your order should be with you within 5-7 working days. Honestly, who do they think can afford to sit around at home for 3 days waiting for a parcel? Dixons are ****ers and so are DHL.

DHL are worse than UPS!
I ordered an item that was shipped from Germany via DHL, which was meant to take 'up to 10 working days'. Anyway, to cut a very long story short, it had allegedly been delivered to me. When I phoned DHL and asked who had signed for it, they couldn't tell me. It turns out that surprise, surprise, no-one had signed for it, and the driver 'couldn't remember' where he had left the parcel. Well, it wasn't at my house, that's for sure :annoyed:

thanks minimeeze that's put my mind at rest:razz: :'( ;)

I got my laptop from Dell, ordered online 22:30 Wed evening, delivered by DHL Fri 10:00, and according to the tracking info it was despatched from Ireland and reached me in Loughborough via Cologne.

Oh no. I ordered my 30D from Dixons on Friday. It arrived at the local DHL depot, 1hr away from me, at about 1:30am. Its currently "In Transit" either at the depot or on its way to me. Its 6:30pm and I'm not hopeful.

Well we had 3 laptops ordered from Dell in Ireland and two went missing around Birmingham, not a problem for us other than waiting an extra day for Dell to ship their replacements (believe that was DHL ):suspect:

there is no way that any company could get anywhere near the depths of ineptitude of UPS...they cant even reply to a polite yet firm 'your **** and you know you are' email

7pm. Nothing yet. I was in Liverpool today and I could have stopped by the depot to pick up my 30D. Rubbish company.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but Pete, if you know which depot the 30D is gonna get delivered to, you ought to be able to arrange to collect it yourself if you get time. Defeats the purpose of a delivery company, but at least you know you'll get it!

Ordered something from W.E. Tuesday lunchtime.... got a mail saying "parcel picked by delivery company" 15:45. Cut a long story short.... was delivered to the door at 10:25 this morning.

Not UPS! Not DHL! CityLink (yay!).... Never had a problem with them.

As DHL said in their recent ad campaign "Yellow, it's the new brown".

:p

Yeah, and we all know what else is brown don't we.

Not UPS! Not DHL! CityLink (yay!).... Never had a problem with them.

Second this opinion, Citylink are the only company that actually delivered when they said they would.

But Matty is 100% correct in his assumption (sorry, I meant fact) that no company on earth could ever be as **** as UPS. Useless ****ers indeed.

Ok this is very odd.

Out for delivery 07/09/06 08:05 AINTREE SERVICE CENTRE
In Transit 06/09/06 AINTREE SERVICE CENTRE
Arrived At Depot 06/09/06 01:35 AINTREE SERVICE CENTRE

It took less than a day to go from Milton Keynes to Aintree. Then it transited around Aintree for a day!? Crazy. Still, it *could* be here today.

Just don't hold your breath pete.

citylink and tnt are the best ones, though TNT do have random moments of sending stuff to the wrong end of the country

I've used pretty much all of them over the years. I send out approx 30 packages a day! TNT are definately the best of the lot - their online tracking is excellent. They can still mess it up good and proper though!

DHl say that Dixons are investigating it and there's nothing more they can do. Phones Dixons and they said I'll have to wait for them to investigate it and if needs be send me a replacement. Not good enough, it's not that I need it now but I'm not a patient man. So I told them to cancel the order and asked for the additional value of the online discount to be included so I could go into my nearest dixons and buy it for the same price. I was told the accounts department probably wouldn't go for that but would more than likely send me a voucher for the same value.

I'm off shopping, catch you laters.

Saw a cracker today, ( don't let this worry you too much guys ;) ) I pulled up to a busy roundabout in the industrial estate, waiting for an A.N.Onymous parcels van coming from my right. I noticed his side door wide open and as he followed the lane round a great pile of cartons and packages came tumbling out (cue Robin Williams Good morning vietnam "It was chaos maaan! there was buffalos jacknifed everywhere"). Cars and vans weaving in and out of the spilled contents of his van while he parked up and came running back with a red face to clear up the mess.

Made me laugh I tells ya! :D Till I remembered they are usually the ones who deliver my PC components :(

My 30D arrived :D Dunno why it spent an extra day in Aintree but hey. £2.99 for 3-5 day delivery or £14.99 for Friday delivery. Um?

lol
glad it arrived

UPS today failed to collect the package they didnt deliver.

Atleast you got it now Pete , congratulations

Sounds like UPS really dont like you Matty
