corrupt SD Card - Help Please

I took some photos today and when I got home and I tried to download them to my laptop one of the folders would not open and a pop up box gave me this message
E:/DCMI/106_0704 is not accessible
The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable​
Can anyone help me recover the images as some of them are of irreplaceable
 
i just had a card go on me in camera , i stopped using it , and go back 90% of the card. theres no gaurente that they can be recovered


you could try skipping the images that cannot be read , this sometimes works

Connect your camera direct to your PC and download that way?

If successfuldo a full for,at on the card and take a few test shots and try downloading again. If any problems arise, bin it before you lose any must keep shots
 
Thanks to you all for the advice and assistance, I have managed to recover the missing photos.
This is the method I used and this maybe of use to someone in the future.

Right click on the SD Card you wish to scan, and a drop down menu will appear. Scroll down and choose "Properties"

Select the tab across the top that says "Tools" and a menu will appear. Select the menu which says "Error Checking."

Fill checkbox "automatically fix file system errors "

Click ok and let it run this took around five minutes and my laptop recognised the folder and I could get to my images.
