Hey folks...I have a jpg that I have edited in PS, since it has been edited it can not be added to my album design software. The original file already shows there.

I've not done anything major, I've opened it, straightened it, added 4 layers...one of them another image (cracked paint to create an effect) changed some layer styles added layer masks

flattened and saved it (also saved psd and tiff) the tiff also isn't liked by the software.

Any ideas?
 
Have you tried removing the layers one at a time in the psd and seeing if it will save after each removal? That might help identify the problem
 
Finding it hard to understand why you can't overwrite or add again in your design software, but why not rename the new jpeg? or save a copy?
 
Does it only affect one image ar is it every image your doing? Uninstalling may not help, you need to identify the problem first, it may be something simple, trashing photoshop preferences may help with odd problems (not changed by uninstalling) but again we need to find the problem first.
 
Was the image one adjusted in Lightroom then into PS. Had a JPEG problem with this the other day.
 
See if the original image in your album as the same jpeg extension as the new one for example jpg,,jpeg or capital letters, some software is very fussy about file extensions.
 
same extension .jpg it was processed in LR first then taken to PS for a bit more work after export.

I've even tried renaming the file exactly the same as the original file.

I've not had this problem before, literally only just started happening as there are already files in there that have been processed in PS.

mmmmm, the album design software has just updated, who wants to bet it's that? (sorry didn't think of it before)
