Never tried anything like this before!!
Went out this morning as there was some light at last - quite like the mono look with the rays of sunlight although it may be too strong on the LHS

I really like this photograph - the B&W works really well.
 
Nice textures and light. Would like to see more space around the bench particularly to the right perhaps. Good start.

Yeah I agree Lesley, a landscape shot with some negative space to the right would take this shot to the next level.

Hi cornishboy, these are quality shots.:thumbs:

I like the colour original, but the B+W conversion is the one for me.
For me the crop is too tight - would like to see more space around the bench.

I agree with you that the blown highlights on the left detract from the image.

Great start.

A quality first effort in the 52. Great texture and use of light - In agreement that no.3 of the coulour images is the best.

A great start to the 52 and a good interpretation of the theme.

I do like the b&w shot, but agree it is a bit of a tight crop, especially when I see the DOF you got in No3 of your additions which is a brilliant shot.

Well done and look forward to seeing the rest of your 52.

Struggles with the theme until I looke in the diary - still not really convinced - bit of an experience shooting in the dark though!!

Nice shot of the moon which is not easy to do. Not quite enough interest in the composition - it either needs a tighter crop or some foregound interest.

Liking your 52 - keep it going:thumbs:
