Just a quick question if I may. A friend, of a friend, of a friend wants to buy a print of one of my photos. Is it customary to remove my (very subtle) copyright logo from this print, or do I leave it on?

As above I think you should get rid. I can't recall seeing a printed image for sale with a copyright.

Of course, why would anyone want to buy a print with a logo on? I would refuse.

Olan Mills used to put a small logo in the corner so that you couldn't get it reproduced in a lab..
However, I'd take the logo off

I thought it should come off. Thanks for reassuring me.

Another idea is to get a few stickers made up and put one on the back of any prints that you sell. Any printing place worth their salt will refuse to duplicate any photos if there's a copyright sticker with the photographer's contact details on the back!

(Of course, if there's written permission from the photographer mentioned on the sticker, they're good to go)

a print is all good, it is not an electronic version that can be published on internet.
i would remove it ! and i agree the back sticker/signature is a good idea

For a print I would remove. Unless its a signature & numbering on the edge or on the mount, depends on the print.

My gran always requests I leave my name small across the bottom lol

I had a load of labels printed up - they were very cheap - stating: Copyright, and my contact details, and I put one on the back of every photo I sell.
