Hi all,

this may have been brought up in the past here, but I was wondering what my options are as far as unlicensed use of an image.

I was checking some of my images for unlicensed use the other evening (yeah, it was a slooww eveing), and came across this site....

As you can see, they're blatantly using one of my images on their home page:

I have sent an email to the site asking for its removal. I received a reply within the hour saying they would, but if I was willing to come to an arrangement where they could continue to use the image. The three options I gave them were

1. Credit on the same page as the image
2. Purchase non-exclusive rights, which would allow them to continue using it in its current format only
3. Purchase exclusive rights to the image, in which case I would then remove it from any hosting sites and send them the full file.

Not heard a word back, which is surprising considering the promptness of their initial reply.

Any ideas where I go next?

If they come back with a deal then great.. if they don't then you need to invoice them for the use they have had.. did you take a copy of the page before they removed it?

Balls in there court.. you dont give an indication of time frame here.. you say not heard back... in how long?

Surely if they had any sense the would take option 1. Credit on the same page as the image. As it will not cost them anything.

Well they have removed the image so I guess progress has been made.
