Edit My Images
Yes
Hi

I went through a tutorial last night and created a copyright action in CS2 then did a batch process on this.

However on individual images within the folder it didn't seem to work correctly and wiped out 2GB of space on my hard drive whilst trying to process it.

Once I was able to stop the process the space would return and I was able to process the next photo but not one of the ones it failed.

What I think happend was that on occaission it would not put the copyright symbol on the image in a new layer so when on the next step in wanted to emboss and blur it would just get into somesort of loop, wipeing out all my memory and space.

Has anybody else had any experience of this? or know if I might be doing something wrong?

Cheers

Lee

if you want to send me your action i will have a look to see where the problem lies for you.

Did it not just create new images in a new folder? That would use up extra space.

Hi Mark,

Sorry for not getting back to sooner, I'm sure it's just a lack of memory or it's getting its knickers in a twist. Although if I knew how to extract the action to forward to you I would  :bang: . EDIT- worked it out :D (the extraction of actions that is)

Cheers Lee

No the action I wrote simply watermarks it and adds the copyright information, it doesn't create a copy 1st. Although thats a good idea. I just simply created a backup folder and used those for watermarking.

Its strange because the problem only happened with some of the photos not all. What I have done since this error, is that when it fell over I simply cancelled it and created the watermark manually, then kicked off the action again, from where it fell over. It still didn't do the action correctly but was better than nothing.

The only problem with this though was that I couldn't perform the action in a batch process.

Think I just need to use my PC rather than the more convenient laptop.
