Convertor for old Minolta lens to Sony Alpha??

Hi folks, iv just been given an old 70-210 Minolta lens, its in great condition but it is old!!. The person i got it from said it would fit my Sony but the fitting is too small!!!

Is there an adaptor plate i can get to make it fit??

If not its going on Flea-bay...lol

I just did a quick search on ebay. I'm sure that there is somewhere in the UK that sells them.

the problem with the MD/MC (technically SR mount) >MAF converter is it requires an optical element for infinity focus & this generally both magnifies slightly (typically 1.2x) & impairs IQ.
You can also get adapters with focus confirm chips fitted (this also helps with stabilisation).

Thanks guys. ill get one on order, does this fit to the lens??...would be a pain in the bum having to fit it between evey time!!!
