Get some sand bags, this type of kit is very light, no pun intended, and at some point will fall over, especially if you leave the stands like that :)

And what do you think of them

Fine for product photography, not enough power for portraits. Even though they look very bright, the exposure meter says otherwise.

Still to use them in anger.
Just put one up today to see how easy it was to assemble.
Turned out to be easy enough.
I was hoping to use these for portraits so I'll see how they cope next week sometime.

What were the exposure settings for the right-hand shot above Colin? My exif reader's not picking it up.

The pics above we're taken on my iPhone :)

Haha that would explain it.

I have a couple of Lencarta Quad lights that I use for quick product shots, with 4x 105w bulbs each, so more than four times the light of your 1x 85w, and at 1.0m they give 1/125sec at f/5.6, ISO400. Similar kind of softbox.

That's marginal for portraits and you're going to be two stops down on that at least, so move them close, push the ISO up, use a tripod and hope your subject sits still!
