anyone know what the guy's using in the background for these shots - the pics of the lights behind the model - he darkens the background so you only see the light... just love the effect so wouldnt mind having a play

wondering if anyone had a clue as to what I could get to get the same effect?

you can see everything on the video i dont get what part you cant see?
 
thanks guys, was just trying to work out what the actual spotlights were in the background in this image? were they just normal lights (looks like they were) and any suggestions on something similar that we could get in the UK? looked on ebay an there seems to be quite a few choices which I may go for! :)
