hi i was looking at a canon a canon pixma ip4600 printer

I run 2xCanon i9950's and print my own wedding/portrait photos and find the canon gen' ink's are the best, but saying that I do know photographers that use these ink systems and are very happy with them;) as for the canon ip4600 these are excellent printer's..:)

depends on the paper you use.

consider getting the empty CISS system and fill it with different ink.

I don't have any experience with Canon printers but I use a CISS with both my Epson printers (R265 and 2880) with excellent results. As with genuine inks, you need to choose the papers carefully and use the correct type of ink for the printer for the best results.

Hope that helps :)

I`m using CISS for both Canon and Epson. It is a fantastic system all you need to do is to find the ink and paper that match it. Some companies also supply profiles for CISS.
