Yes
Well after using continuos lighting for several paid shoots I am taking the plunge for studio flash heads,

Only after doing a shoot I now understand the benefits of them. Should I go Lencarta elite pro, recently seen some groovy Alien bees heads that seem to be good spec or someone else, budget I would say is £200 per flash

Yes, you're moving in the right direction :)

At £200 per head, look at Elinchrom D-Lites or Lencarta. Alien Bees are big in the US, but have a very low profile over here.

:) I got some great results from my current lights however need for flexibility, my photography has moved forward quite somewhat, and now my hobby is making money.

Can you tell me what a sky port is and what's it do?

Yes, it's Elinchrom's very neat triggering and remote power control system. Receivers are built in to the heads.

It also a more extensive studio management system, with computer tethering and stuff (that I haven't used) but the basic Skyport Speed trigger/remote control that comes with the kits is great.
