Connecting Lightroom to NAS on Mac mini

Having just swamped from a mini PC to a Mac Mini one of the many things I’m having trouble with is that each time I start Lightroom I need to manually reconnect it with my NAS drive something I’ve never had using Lightroom on any of my previous PCs. Any ideas for a solution to this would be gratefully received.

Is it a Lightroom issue or do you also need to reconnect to the NAS outside of Lightroom each time you turn it on.
Not familiar with Mac but on windows that would suggest the auto reconnect isn't enabled.

My MacBook occasionally loses connection to my Synology NAS, but I have always put that to regularly moving it around the house, connecting to either wifi or LAN, I usually try to make sure that it is connected in Finder before opening Lightroom.
