Confused with who I bought from on Ebay

I won the auction for a Sigma lens on Ebay from a company called Kingtradecameraslondon. Yet on my Paypal statement the payment was made to Digitalrev. They have their own seller account on Ebay so Im a little confused.

The lens was listed as new and I got it for considerably less than the buy it now that Digitalrev on Ebay are selling them for?

Dunno about kingscameraslondon but if they are Digitalrev in disguise you should be fine. There may be VAT implications but I have bought from them direct in the past and had no problems.

Im just a little confused why they would have another shop with a different name, what's the point?

Dunno how it works mate. Have you checked Digitalrev's web site for a price comparison. They add VAT at source. I was looking at a Sigma 300-800 lens and it works out about a grand cheaper (inc VAT) from them than any UK dealers. UK warranty is good as well. Just a pain if you have to send anything back but that's the same with buying from HK off Ebay.

Is the item advertised as located in UK? Sometimes digitalRev advertise some items as located in london and will be shipped FROM London via RMSD.

Maybe they created a new ebay account for that purpose.

I bought a Sigma 105mm recently from ebay ( UK seller in London ) , it arrived within 3 days from Dubia though ?

I'd get in touch with DigitalRev, they have posted here that they use only the DigitalRev name on eBay after some of us bought products from other sellers that came in DR packaging.

Very odd indeed. Their ebay page says they've been going since 2002 but they only have 110 feedback. No mention of Digitalrev though.

However, it does say that the goods will be sent by one of their 'business partners', and that they are more of an agent.

Maybe email them and ask?

Just had a quick look at the site, they are avertising as an agency, and will dispatch from one of the partners either UK or overseas..

They also sell on Canceled and Replacement Orders where the customer has had to send an item back to Digrev for replacement then decides to just have their money refunded.
Think of it as a catalogue seconds store.
