Yes
On the "free" version of Flickr my uploaded file size to the Flickr site is original size yeah?

This is way over my head, im not a tech'y.

So i want to show the highest detailed pic on this forum without having anyone having to click on the link to Flickr to view the full sized pic. If this is possible?

Free version size,

Question, if i upgraded to a paying version, would this pic be displayed original size on the forum here using the Flickr "share" option without members having to click on the Flickr link to view the original sized pic?

I think this post makes sense, but it's been a long day.

Images displayed here are limited to 1024 pixels on the longest side. Modern cameras are capable of producing images upwards of 4000 pixels but most people do not have a screen that can display 4000px, 1920 x 1080 is a common display resolution. Take off boarders, menus and other layout elements and 1024 is not a bad choice to prevent people needing to scroll horizontally to see your image.

So its not really about flickr, its about having a friendly layout for most viewers.

Surely using the BB Code as you did in your other thread gives you the best result.

So the BBCode thats 1024 yeah? If i used 2048 would that be a hassle for viewers like sirch said about having to scroll horizontally?

I dont want to annoy anyone.

The image below is linked by BBCode at 5000+ pixels on the longest side - the forum software reduces it to conform with the requirements sirch outlined. :)

Clicking through that image suggests that the biggest file available is 2048px x 1379px.

IMO, (as a viewer more than a poster) the posted image is pretty much "just" an invitation to click through to flickr to view the largest available version should the viewer want to. Doing so can reveal detail that's less visible in the lower resolution smaller version as well as showing it as the uploader intended, without the sharpening and compression that allowing flickr to do the resizing can (and often does) add.

What small print?

Ah! I see the confusion! I was referring to Roger's shot just above my post rather than Wacky Adventurer's in the OP!

The largest file I can view of the OP's shot seems to be the 800x533, unless I download it to see larger and even then, it's limited to 1024px wide.
