I've got a D40x (only autofocuses with AF-S lenses) and have been contemplating getting some extension tubes.
I decided Kenko's 36, 20 and 12mm set would be ideal, and have read in several places that they work with Nikon's AF-S lenses (they allow auto focus). However, virtually everywhere I go to buy them says they won't allow autofocus with Nikon's AF-S lenses.
Are there two different versions, or will they never work with AF-S lenses? I'm not bothered about having to manually focus (as I usually do this with Macros anyway), but if there is a set that does work with AF-S I'd prefer to get that.
I plan to use the converters on an AF-S 105mm Micro F/2.8, a Nikon 35mm F/1.8 AF-S and a Nikon 50mm F/1.8 (which I have to manually focus on the D40x anyway).
Any help greatly appreciated!
