Hi guys,
I'm a pretty experienced home printer but am scratching my head over a problem I came across yesterday. I run an Epson R1400 A3+ printer and am using original inks with Epson Premium Glossy photo paper. My monitor is calibrated and I get excellent colour reproduction from the printer which has profiles for the papers I use.
I was asked to print a portrait of my grand-daughter yesterday. The image looks good on the screen so I set up the printer in the usual way (paper quality, correct profile, PS controls colour, no other frills) and hit the PRINT button.
YUK! The colours are all over the place  Skin tones look like she's been sat out in the sun all day and got burned, clothes are very red saturated but the background shows no sign of a caste. No matter what I tried the result was the same yet when I printed a test card with all the same settings it looked just as expected. I also printed some landscapes later yesterday and they are great.
I'm completely flummoxed as to why this has happened.
Any ideas?
