Just out of interest, what is a conference licence? And can anyone get one?

A Conference licence enables you to gain access to photograph Blue Square Premier/North/South and lower non-league football games.

Any photographer can apply but you must have Public Liability Insurance for 2 million and they will need a copy of it.

You will have to be accredited to do the games, whether it be from the club itself, visiting club, newspapers or agency etc. You have to sign in on a register against your name when you arrive, but normally the club is expecting you and your name will be on the sheet. If they're not expecting you, you might struggle to get access.

Kipax may have some more info and I'm sure will add if necessary.

Oh right. I've got all the needed PLI. Did I see you have to apply via the FA?

Thanks for the info.

Not the FA but apply to:

The Football Conference Ltd, Third Floor, Wellington House, 31-34 Waterloo Street, Birmingham B2 5TJ.

or

Drop Dave Boddy an email, he might send you a PDF application form by return.

all accept the above... you have a licence you apply for a pass for each game...you can go to any blue square game.. its up to the club if they give you a pass.. more chance if going for another club or paper.. you wouldnt need an agency as such because you would have your own licence..

oh and its just blue quare + north and south.. nothing below needs a licence

you should be convincing the conference league that your serious about photographing football at this level.. they wont hand out to anyone..

Dave Boddy at ?

got mine (renewal) in the post this morning. There was a bit of a delay between me sending the renewal forms and getting it back probs a couple of weeks.

i am still waiting for mine,

i got told from dace boddy from the licence,
that i can still use my licence from last year to use for friendly's,

i phoned dover fc to ask about going to there game tomorrow and they said no,

they said we have our own rules

I emailed asking if a problem.. just got a reply this morning saying they had a backlog and mines been posted in last 24 hrs..

Still not received mine, nearly four weeks now. Chased up this morning with an email as the league starts on Saturday.

No reply from Dave yet .....!!

I got mine last week.

Give Dave a call...I'd never spoken to him before but found him really helpful
