Concept of interaction

Hi guys, i got one more module to do before i can graduate from my Photography (well, Media) degree, but im stuck.

My Question is "

New Media is facebook, other web2.0, forums etc.

Everyone is doing a video of theirs but I really need to do mine within Photography, which is allowed. But I cant think of any ideas.

I thought about creating a forum for people to post images and critique, would that be answering the question ? I need to see if i actually have to code the forum myself, being 3rd year degree level I assume so, but being media studies I also assume not, half the class have never heard of HTML let alone php and MySQL!

Any ideas as to what i could do would be very greatfull! Im not asking for help as in "what do i put in line #232 as the integer doesnt work" but just a basic idea!

The definitions are all a bit fluffy, but new media usually means 'stuff on the web' rather than Facebook/Twitter/Forums etc. which are usually lumped together under titles like Social Media or Web 2.0. Anyway, the interaction part could be interpreted in a few ways, you seem to be taking it to mean social interaction but based on what you posted I think you could also interpret it as individual user interaction with whatever you produce. If that is the case then you could maybe do something photographically led along the lines of the Whale Hunt (http://thewhalehunt.org/whalehunt.html). You'd need to find a suitable subject and I think you'd need to scale back from Whale Hunt as the code behind that site will be reasonably complex, but it could make for something genuinely interesting.

If you do decide to go down the forum route don't try to code it yourself as it just isn't worth the hassle. Take one that's already available and customise it instead.

Thankyou I am waiting to see if i have to code myself or if i can just do a one click from cpanel. it has to be hosted on the uni server and for some reason they disabled SQL AND PHP which means im stumped. Even if i did an online storybook, it wouldnt work with logins.

I think im supposed to create something like that and then the key marks are in the study of it, with use of "grounded theory" to study interaction.
