can anyone help am having trouble with outlook express one message will not download and jams up can i delete this or any other way of sorting this out keep timing out

thanks

Not downloading, the email could be too big, and therefore the server crashes trying to download it.

Are you expecting an email with a big attachment with it? If not, i'd be a bit suspicious as it might be a virus. Best run the antivirus if/when you download it before you open it.

To delete it, you'll need to log onto the server and view the emails using your browser direct from the website control panel. Do you have access to this?

:)

log onto the server any ideas how i do this am with bt internet can get webmail is this what you mean

This has just started happening to me today. Outlook begins downloading (says downloading 1 of 15) then appears to jam up. It then times out. I get tons of e-mail every day and this is doing my head in a bit now. :bang: Its been like this all day. I am with BT internet as well. Any ideas on how to sort this out anyone

Chris :)

hmmm..if its happened to 2 people with BT, then it might not be your problem.

I doubt contacting BT will actually do any good..you'll just get automated responses from someone in india who doesn't know what the hells going on.

If you can log onto webmail then do so, see if theres any huge emails in there that might be causing it to crash.

If there isn't, then its probably just BT been useless ;)

Have you tried clearing your inbox, how full is it and large is the file your trying to download.

only a couple in the inbox frank not sure about the size of download file!

you should be able to login to your webmail via you isp's site and see the size there, also you can delete it if it looks dodgy from there too. If you know the sender they maybe keep getting it it bounced back to them as undeliverable. Next time they fire up their email program then it will try to send it again...unless the sender removes it from his/her outbox.
