Complete Newbie

Hi there,

I'm Matt, from near Norwich. I am a complete novice (as in I know nothing), but have always fancied getting into photography.
My girlfriend has bought me a camera for Christmas so I am now baffling myself with youtube tuition videos trying to get my head round some of it before I unwrap my gift on Christmas day.
Thought I would sign up here and have a read etc.

Hello hello! Welcome to the forum! If you need any help just ask, lots of knowledgeable people here happy to help! In my opinion the most important basics to learn are what f stop, shutter speed and ISO mean and do. I could explain but I'm sure you could find a website that explains it better
