Hi, I use a hand held spot meter for exposure and normally shoot or try to shoot land/seascapes, I am going to visit a museum and will need to shoot through glass at subjects lit artificially, when I shoot outside I compensate by 2 stops when adding a polarizing filter. To try and reduce reflections from the glass I will use the pol filter so will I still need to compensate exposure by 2 stops?
Thanks
Russ

Assuming that you're shooting digital and in raw, a 2 stop compensation will be in the right area.

As always, the effectiveness of the polarising screen and the amount of compensation needed will be affected by the angles.

Yes, there or thereabouts. I often find museums pretty dark inside so you might need to ramp up the ISO quite high to get a decent handholdable shutter speed, a lot of museums won't allow tripods.

Thank you for the replies and mark hit it on the head, tripods are not allowed
