Thank you for entering the ePHOTOzine Christmas Draw to win a copy of Phase One Capture One Express 6. ( Wex value £99)

Just had a very quick scout around this editing suit and its huge, one thing I did come across is it has a built in B/W section so will save having to think about Nik software.

Its completely different editing suit from Elements10 so to compare wouldn't be fair. Its more of a professional editing suit than I am used to in Elements, but once having used an editing suit one gets an idea of where to look for settings adjustment.

Ok would I recommend it? yes with a couple of reservations such as printing hard copy, it doesn't seem to retain print settings and having to reset each time if printing individual prints is a bind. However I haven't had a go at printing different photos at once which may be the answer I don't know. Also I would hesitate to say its aimed more towards the professional end of the market from what I am used to, but as I say in half hour of playing with it the editing suite looks interesting .

Will i continue using it? yes would have to be my answer if I want to produce hard copies for a client situation, but for general work I will stay with Elements mainly because I have got used to it. More time needed to check it out properly.

Everyone who entered the competition (prize draw) "won" a copy, the "lite" version of Capture One Pro.

I think you can use it to save on C1 Pro, by upgrading C1 Express for 199 euros instead of 229 euros.
