Lol now youve got me,im always on the lookout for a nice x100 example lol

I keep thinking I should have one of each, I already have X100 and X100F, but if I fell over a decent condition S or T, I don't think I could resist, this male collecting gene is really bad.......

Wonder what the next model will be, I think it should be the U, then we will have had STFU !!!!


Anyway I'm off for a play with a GFX today better leave the Credit Card at home.......

Go to a shop and handle a few, take a memory card and take a few shots you can compare later on.
For me in good light there isn't much in between sensor sizes.
For me the advantages of swapping to micro 4/3rds was a lighter weight and more discreet camera that I wanted to pick up and use more. Much more important than what camera has the best bells and whistles.

I've had crop DSLR for years, bought some Fuji mirrorless kit a couple of years ago, which to me is better than crop DSLR. I almost went fullly mirrorless but recently bought a full frame DSLR as I'd have always been asking myself if it were any better. In my opinion, the Fuji is excellent but I don't believe mirrorless is quite there yet and full frame has a definate edge.

The bulk thing may be an issue but I'm used to lugging DSLR kit around, so sticking with the bulk wasn't such an issue for me. That said, my Fuji bag is half the size of my DSLR bag. The Sony FF cameras are apparently awesome and give you the best of both worlds and I'd have probably gone that way myself if I didn't have the DSLR glass I have.

As with a few other people who have posted above - I own a full frame system and a m43 Olympus system.

I have no problem just taking the little Olly out and have had several holidays away that saw the full frame system stay at home.

I love the way I can have a small shoulder bag and just get the camera out quickly when needed.

The image stabilisation has removed the need for a tripod on quite a few occasions and I have even started getting good 3 bracketed shot sequences hand held.

The other features on the Olly also make it a joy to use (Live Comp, Live Bulb, focus stacking) I even use the hi-res mode on occasion - the images from that are excellent, but it is partly limited in use.

I won't be selling my full frame DSLR anytime soon - but the Olympus compliments it really well and there are photographers on here that use m43 for all their photography and get superb results
