Compact Suggestion

My sister-in-law is looking for a compact which she can take a reasonable macro type shot, insects in the garden. And panorama shots.

Not sure about a budget, £300 I would say was a good starter point.

Any suggestions please.

Very much liking the Leica Type C - Panasonic equivalent is the LF1. Decent size sensor, 12mp and a good and useful zoom

All of the compacts I ever used in macro had to be very close to the subject to get a decent shot as they had to be at the wide end of the zoom, so only for the less nervous species really.
