Compact cameras

Hi all

My dad is about to retire and as a retirement gift I would like to get him a compact. He currently uses an old Sony Cybershot which he finds 'ok' to use. The main problem is the very small LCD screen which he struggles to see.

Budget isn't a real issue, needs to have a large LCD screen and be simple to use.

I thought of the Nikon one? But I'm open to suggestions.

There's a lot of Nikon ones lol.

Why not go for another Sony if thats what he's used to, the DSC-RX100 mk 2 would give him a top of the range compact with a 3" rear screen.
