. Right its a major American marketing company been going for years. They clients as Talk Talk and Make up companies and charity and others. Its Commission only and fully train you up to management level and they said that takes 10 months,Yeah 10 to reach management lol

. they shown me how works and i went to Halifax yesterday and observed how operate etc. They were marketing for a charity for deaf kids.

The only pay is commission until reach management level. To get the pay its works using law of averages so probable sale is always there.
now per sale its about 15 quid commission or so and well can be 50 to 160 quid a day depending.
Now my problem is now and am I being realistic here is I got rent need to pay like every one else and I live in private rented flat and we all know cost of them, also got other things to pay.
I also wanting to settle down with my GF so were planning on living together at some point soon and she wanting to get mortgage too.

So what peoples thought shall i tell them i changed my mind and keep on applying and searching, any one got experience on this?.

PS i know its also classes as self employed and how that work

Personally I would avoid any type of commission only/self employed role. I did this 20 years ago and its not something you should rely on - what if you are sick etc... I take it you are looking at sales roles, i have been in sales for 20 years and not heard many good things about this type of role. There will be sales jobs you can get which offer proper slaty etc... and would urge you to do that. Feel free to PM me with any advice you may want, what your experience is, where you are etc...

im guessing you are selling then get the commission stay away big time

you have to go self employed

the management is only if you are good enough

if you have the gift of selling then do it well worth it and you could earn a fortune but you have to be brilliant at it

the worst thing my wife ever did and she said the same thing

This was the style used by "marketing firms" who covered signing up mugs for well known charities.

Or "Chugging"

My son did it 2 years ago and as promised the world. Working to a 'manager' in teams of 5 they worked shopping areas and door to door.

He was given £25 per signature as was his manager, Senior manager got £50 per signature and Director also got £?

Had to use his own car and petrol.

So outcome. Trained day one by pairing and observing his manage. On his own there on. Sacked day 5 for only getting 7 sales in 4 days.

You need to really understand the company expectations of you and yes all were on a management training programme.

Beware all may not be as described.

I believe the rules on chugging have changed.

I worked on commission only for four years back in the 80's and I managed to earn £50k+ pa. That's not bad money now but back then it was a small fortune (at least it was to me).

To earn good money you need to be a good salesman and that includes being persistent, resistant to rejection, quick witted, articulate and have a high activity and closing rate, in addition to good sales skills, and they are 'skills'.

However, personally IMO, making money off the back of a 'charity' is not good. With some of these charity fund raisers, only 25% of a donation gets to the charity and that's just the 'legit' ones!

Just spoke to my son

The "crew" he worked for were skimming so much that the charities were only getting money in during the second year of monthly debits! The "director", of the office he was attached to, was driving a new Porsche and had a very nice apartment.

The rules were changed in 2012 so I believe they have to disclose their commission rates to their marks.

Interestingly the "portfolio" at the time my son was there included 12 very well known national charities.

I think the charities should disclose their percentage take of g but 'back of the envelope' suggests as low as 5% in year one, given the hierarchical feeding trough of the chuggers.

I have 3 charities I support willingly but will be asking questions.

My son has just added that he was on a "salary" of around £4K pa but of course if you did not make targeted sales you were sacked in quick time so a sham
