Colour film

Any tips on using colour film?

I would like to try and incorporate using colour as part of the composition rather than just taking a picture and it happens to be a colour film, does that make sense?

Actually, try reading all the text in the 1986 book Edward Weston: Color Photography. I just skimmed through again it to check for relevance.

Read it last night at bedtime, beautiful simplicity. Only rarely three colours.
