Hello

Have been testing out using a sub dye photo printer - have just been printing through Picasa. Most images are just printed as is from the camera, but if I have done an edit in photoshop - the printed photo seems to have a more pinky colour cast, so compared to a non edited photo, skin tones are very pinky and looks not so great.

would I need to change some kind of setting in how PS saves the jpeg image?

thanks

Inconsistent colors betweens applications is usually a sign of color profile issues, but you'll need to elaborate on your workflow a bit more. I take it the image looks fine in Photoshop and so you save it to a jpg. It then looks funny in Picasa, or it looks okay in Picasa and it's only when it prints that it looks odd?

^^^^ Like what he said ^^^^

---- profiling inconsistency :(

hello - thanks for your help.

Comparing the two before printing, the one edited in PS looks slightly darker - but doesn't seem to show the colour difference that is noticeable when printed. I did some colour correction on the edited file to match the original to try and combat the pinkish skin tones, but because it wasn't evident on the file on the screen, it was a bit of guess work. the end result looked *better* but not ideal. I knew there was some difference between a non edited and an edited file when printed, as this has shown when we've had them printed at a lab, but the pinkish skin tones seems to be a thing with the photo printer.

appreciate its hard to trouble shoot from afar, but thought I'd pick some expert brains! :-)
