A quick question will a screen grab from your pc of one of my images posted below then pasted back in here show up differently??

I have an non-calibrated monitor I and want to see what my images look like on other screens!

now if you screen grab then post back will it look different???

I don't know what you are on about but I do know I think the image is ace and I only calibrate my monitor by my eye (it works you know).

Probably not as you are grabbing the image not the setup of the monitor screen.

The pic looks OK - the eyes are very good - but the cheeks have not got much detail and are slightly burned out in the highlights.

Here is a calibration picture you can use to set up your monitor by eye - assuming you have reasonable eyesight:

In particular the greyscales should be seperated so you can see them all.

Once that's done the colours should be quite good.

yeah that looks about right!

Colour, contrast and saturation is so subjective though isn't it?? one man's perfect is another man's blaarrgghh...

Great shot :) Monitor profile probably won't carry over with a screen grab - the original file (or a low-res JPEG) should have it embedded:)
