Help required please .... I think I am having a serious grey hair day and need some assistance please.
I have just bought an X-rite i Studio screen/printer colour calibrator as I have a MacBook Pro 2016 and a Benq SW2700 colour monitor.
I ran the X-rite calibration for both screens and saved the profiles to the Mac Book... I assume.
I run the MacBook Pro and Benq monitor such that they are mirror images. This allows me to edit on the bigger screen etc. but using the Mac keyboard etc.
I then downloaded the software for the X-rite Colour Checker 2/mini etc. and when I started to run it told me that my monitor calibration was over 30 days old. Not 30 minutes. I checked the "Display" and this is where I am having a meltdown. The Mac tells me I am using the profile for the built-in display which is correctly set. However it also say the same thing for the Benq monitor (within Mac). I change the profile for the Benq and it also changes it as the profile for the Mac built-in display. I know you can use the Benqs own display calibration software but there are differing views on whether you should use it. How do I get the monitor and Mac book to each use their own colour profiles?
any assistance would be gratefully received.
