Hi

I purchased a colour munki calibration system. However once I have calibrated the dispaly and the printer to suit it seems to print darker and the colours are not the same as on the monitor. It seems to be producing to much red and darkening the blues. I am currently using wex pro gloss paper. any suggestions.
 
I didn't realise you could calibrate the printer to match the screen?
 
Yes u can print a text chart from the screen and then run the color munki over it and create a profile. I believe the results should be better than the ones I am getting tho
 
make sure your brightness is around 90cm2 and reprofile

have you profiled the paper properly?

some paper/ink combos just don't work even with profiling

canon printers do tend to over saturate the reds.
 
Thank you I have reset my brightness and I will recalibrate later. I suppose the more different pictures I run into the paper profile the better it will get. Again can you recommend and gloss paper that is sensible money. thank you for your time
