Colchester Camera Repair

Sent my 40D for Sensor cleaning, calibration, I also mentioned some annoying dusts in the view finder.

Camera came after 2 weeks, with note.

Work carried out:
Recalibrate AF unit
Replace Focusing screen
Clean CMOS assembly
Check to spec.

Work under warranty.
I'm very pleased with the service!

Cool - I've used Colchester and was very pleased with them - good service and quick turnaround. I have heard of others having a very different experience, though. But I would use them again.

they seem to have improved their service since they moved premises, they have been good with both my repairs.
But a friend of mine had a real horror story with them that ended in court, so I am still a bit cautious using them.

Sent my broke 1dmkIII last wed and it came back this morning.. 3 working days.. thats about as impressive as it gets..

Communications 1/10 ..They answer the phone, but with such a quick turnaround its OK, had it gone to the estimated "under 2 weeks" then I would have been more worried. When i phoned them they said they rec camera, fix camera, return camera about 2 weeks.. no communications when fixed or when returning.

Service and turnaround speed.. 10/10
