I have a Nikon D5000, and an old but working Cobra D400 flash that I forgot I had until yesterday. Is it safe to use the Cobra with my DSLR? I'm trying to find a manual for the Cobra on the net, but no luck with that yet.
I bought the Cobra ages ago to use with my 35mm Olympus OM30: they worked well together but I don't know if it's suitable (or even safe) to use it with my DSLR. If you need more details about the Cobra to provide answers I will do my best to find out about it.

The consensus seems to be "don't do it".
