Cobra 700AF Flash unit

Hello,
Being a bit of an old dinasaur, I have avidly resisted progressing on to digital photography. However I have now decided to join the 21st centuary.
I have for many years used Pentax AF cameras, and currently use a Cobra 700AF flash unit, dedicated for Pentax AF. Can anyone advise if this unit is compatable with Pentax DSLRs.

erm, if you have a multimeter handy check the voltage as some digi cameras get upset (explode) when you put a high voltage synching flash on top. The safe level will be in the camera manual

if its a cobra like I had for a spell it'll be manual only and probably safe but do check as I can't remember the numbers

best thing for old manual guns is to get some radio slaves and use them off camera, with digi you can experiment lots
